Place：Hwa Lian Taroko National Park
This the first time we took place a big workshop in Taroko National Park. There are forty illustrators to attend this workshop. Yutaka Kobayashi is a very famous children’s picture books illustrator. He had traveled all over the world. The workshop’s class included Yutaka Kobayash’s speech, illustrators critique, create a new work. We also invited three senior illustrators to give junior illustrator comment.
The workshop was very successful. We learned a lot from Yutaka Kobayashi. It’s more than the skill. Most important thing is he told us how to create a book for kids sincerely.
By questionnaire, we also know illustrators hope SCBWI-Taiwan can take place this kind of workshop all the time.
